Signando en el museo is a family activity which main focus is to spread the use of Catalan sign language (LSC) amongst babies and hearing audiences.

The kids of deaf people that speak sign language start communicating with its surroundings around the first year, given the fact that this is the age when kids are able to recognize things and give them a name. It's also a skill that is developed before spoken language. We want to kick start this capacity by offering hearing kids the basic concepts of sign language from the rooms of the museum.

We propose a workshop on architecture and pieces that make part of MACBA 31 Collection, Here we'll recreate certain types of situations that might happen around deaf people.

Activity for families with or without deaf kids. This new workshop will be given with and LSC teacher. We recommend to have already taken the sign language workshop for babies.
